Bathroom in a Bugout Bungalow
This video demonstrates the design I'm using in my Bugout Bungalows for the bathroom. The 24" door, framing and plywood in the shower are primered and still need paint. The walls in the 32" shower stall still need to be insulated and are not nailed off. The stall still needs a layer of cement board or water resistant dry wall before it can be completed. The shower drains into a grey water disposal system.

I just started playing with AI image creation ( I hope I'm not shaking hands with the devil, If you know what I mean) and I've been song writing forever. If I get some more thumbs up I'll keep post more videos. The music videos are more fun to make than composting toilet ones.

    So it has a standing pilot. How many pounds of propane do you go through in a week/month ? How much was the cost of your unit ? Where did you purchase it ? Would you purchase it again ? When you discovered a leaking gas connection part, that was included in your purchase, did the manufacturer replace it, or did you repurchase it ? Did you even inform them ? Is the thermostat indexed by temperature gradients, or on a sliding graghic scale ? And is the thermostat mounted on the unit, or can it be remotely mounted ? I have subscribed.

    • @BugoutBill
      @BugoutBill 8 місяців тому

      That's a lot of questions. Yes, standing pilot. Propane use varies too much to measure. It's part time use in a mild climate and I have another heat source. Cost about a grand online. I'm very happy with the unit and plan on buying another for a Bugout Bungalow. The fitting came loose from the factory, I simply tightened it. No I didn't inform them. The thermostat is built in. It round knob marked from high to low. Thanks for subscribing

    It's 14' x 14' . 196 sq. ft. I rounded up. I refer to it as two hundred because you often don't need a permit for two hundred square feet or less. It's more a model number reference.

    I wonder why the roof has a quit complicated structure, is it about optimized stiffness and load distribution ?

    • @BugoutBill
      @BugoutBill 8 місяців тому

      Basically, yes and the 12 and 12 pitch of the roof (with two full dormers), makes maximum use of the enclosed space. You don' tend to walk in the corners of rooms, so the corners are only four foot tall. Dividing the roof into four or eight different components makes them easier to transport and handle. The panels are easy to build and the building is easy to assemble. I have plans available now for a non folding plywood version in 120 sq.ft. and 200sq. ft. model.
